It's hard to tell if they were really turned away for wearing kilts, or for being too drunk...if it was the kilts....then there's something rotten in Denmark, er, Edinburgh...

If at first you don't succeed...

...so the obvious thing to do is for someone who is as sober as possible to go to this joint and try to gain entry while kilted...if they turn them away, they're a kilt-unfriendly establishment in Edinburgh...and thus subject to all of the contempt that that entitles them to. If not...?

Of course, "...the management reserves the right...".

Mattg is right. From my point of view the article seems to focus more on the fact that they were refused entrance because of being kilted not drunk.

He doth appear to protest too much. Google (and IMDB) finds almost nothing about projects this "director" was involved in. But a headline shouting "kilted film director" gets more attention than "drunken cousins."

I looked at the two movies referred to in the article, and I don't find a name common to both in the movies as part of the production at all!

Reminds me of the Richard Harris story:

He won the Palm D'Or at Cannes and came home to the UK...the headline read: "English Actor Wins Palm D'Or".

That night he went out drinking, got pished and got into a huge fight.

The headline the next day read: "Irish Actor Held in Barroom Brawl."

First don't trust the IMDB to get credits right (espicially for indie films or non US made studio pictures). I personally have nearly 25 "credits" to my resume, and only about 5 are listed on IMDB (and someone with the same name keeps getting listed in my place on ones that I have).

Second, the words I would use to describe Harris, would get this thread yanked.
