I realize that this title seems a little odd but I meant it more as why we defend the fact that it is a kilt and educate those who attempt to call it a skirt. I am sorry if it seems like it is detracting of women who wear skirts but I meant it as a piece to state why it's called a kilt and not a man-skirt or MUG. If you would like to adjust the title of this thread I have no issue but my intent was more to explain why we, as a community, do not let it stand when a kilt is referred to as a skirt. If any have taken offense to possible implications they may have drawn, I would like to formally apologize for it and I hope that you will not hold this against me in the future. I am sorry for any offense taken from this article.
