What weight if you are talking wool? I would love to have this in PV. I compete in the Highland games and my kilts take a bit of abuse and need to be washed pretty frequently.

A special run of PV takes A LOT of material (you'd have to ask Rocky how much).
I'd suggest that a 13 oz worsted wool is a good compromise for tanks and box pleats. (I like 16, but I make myself boxes and and am NOT in on this.)
I'd say a custom weave makes a great formal/nice kilt (i.e. one that would not be used during games athletic events, but is usable for just about ANYTHING else plus will last a long, long time).
My intent was a group weave would make the final product less costly for all (full on customs AIN'T CHEAP!!), plus our own Matt Newsome could get the actual weaving done through his contacts and custom weaving experience. Now boys, decide on 13 or 16 oz.
