Love the posts, Michelle and Diane.
Welcome from the Seacoast of New Hmapshire (USA). Great fun to hear from the poor suffering spouces. Glad to hear that you find your men looking fine in their kilts.
Too funny about the getting dressed and obsessions about creases and such.

thanks, thescot...
@ frog: strange... a utilikilt is oké, but the tartan is one step beyond?
I don't see the difference... besides the fact that I like a Tartan better then the utilikilts (no offence).
I always thought that with a tartan you will have less to explain to the innocent bystander
than a with a kilt with just one colour.
But that is just my opinion (but that was just what you wanted: girls commenting on kiltwearers, wasn't it?)

Michele (and Mrs Tartan Hiker)
Welcome to the forum! We gentlemen of X Marks the Scot most certainly appreciate the opinions, thoughts, and humor of the ladies.
My lovely wife supports my whole kilt/Scot interest and without it I wouldn't have the confidence to wear a kilt. She too keeps my preening in line with (sometimes) gentle humor.
I keep trying to get the Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess to officially join X Marks. Perhaps your examples wil inspire her.

Michelle,
My wife claims catholic school girl uniform trauma for her resistance to me getting a tartan - but, that said, she's given me her blessing to get one of Canuck's leather kilts (the two-tone Irish saffron!!). Now all I need is a third job so I can get it sooner!

Sorry you couldn't make it to Dumfries, Michelle.
I saw Robin last night and although he seems to be enjoying himself, no doubt he will be missing you.

Michelle and Diana,
So glad to hear both of you posting on the forum. (And Diana, I hope you can make it to another kiltnight)
I think the guys like to hear from women who support their passion for kilts. So far my son only has the one, but I see a stillwater in his future and another from Barb. I've created my monster but I do enjoy seeing his eyes light up whenever he checks out the site with me.

Next kilt night, we're going to make that boy a man. Baptise him in rootbeer or something.
He's a great kid. I'm proud to know him.
