Where 4 Scotsmen gather there'll usually be a fifth.

Panache, that's 5 men not one. Where'd you learn how to count?

It was Godzilla battling Mothra (duh). He tossed 'em at Mothra - and that's how the ones that missed landed!

hmm...after much thought, I have come to the conclusion that this was actually the result of an early Scottish games! The althetes were doing the weight tosses, and inadvertantly created stonehenge! once they finished the games, they realised they had built quite a great little place to share a dram or two with other athletes, so they left it standing!

Who knows with continental drift a few quakes and an ice age to boot the original site might have been next to the bluestone quary and when there seers saw what was about to happen they packed up everything and moved to a new location, kind of like an ancient mobile home/meeting house.

It is probable that they found the blue stone the same way coal and other earth stones were found. Some of it was laying on the surface and some poor soul stumbled on it.. Once the properties were found, it was all over.

That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

I'm sure that bluestone was traded in some form or another
There would have been trade routes that covered 250 miles easily
You find shells and pipestone tradeed all over the U.S. in pehistoric times
The henge was built over many generations moving the stones a little bit at a time over many years
I waiting for a time machine so I can go back and watch
I'm an 18th century guy born into the 20th century and have been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

According to the Entropy Paradox, a time machine would only be able to go as far back in time as the moment it was created.

Naw...it was either a government diddle involving some MP's brother's quarry and haulage company, or an Art-College term project!
