I have a 13 oz. 4 yard in Crawford ancient(sp?) variety. That I get to wear to the Ren Faires that I work. Other than that I wear a olive UK.
Blessings to all

Aye Aye Aye!!!
Thanks a lot BMackay....
Never thought much about the German American tartan after seeing just the tartan on the website...but dang, that is a beautiful picture of a beautiful tartan. It looks a lot better on you than the out of the box laid down pics you posted earlier.
One of my Loyalist lines married up with some German mercenaries that stayed over on this continent up in Quebec after the Revolutionary War...had looked at the tartan to honor that portion of my blood.
Shrugged it off until now....it moved to my semi-trad want list for sure. Any chance you have a pleat shot of it while you're wearing it???
Thanks,
Ron

Ron -
This is by far my favorite kilt. This definitly needs to be high up your wish list.
This is a pretty good shot at the pleats:

Not 100% sure, but I believe this one is only available in wool Ron. So would have to be either a 5 yarder or premier. Rocky? Is this correct?

Oh, and my favorite, hands down: My Henderson, weathered box-pleat made by Mr. Matt Newsome.

Difficult to call any particular kilt a favourite - some are more comfortable than others; some make the wearer feel good because they ooze quality; some are just a nice tartan that goes with a good variety of other clothes. What swings it here though in favour of my work wear kilt is that this is the kilt which transported me from wearing the kilt as costume to weddings and country dancing, to wearing it as an everyday garment. My wife gave me this one for Christmas 2002, 8 yard, all black 16 oz, built by a local kiltmaker here in the Scottish Borders. At the time I thought I would only ever wear it to church and to funerals. This particular kiltmaker only puts a single buckle on each side, so when I injured my leg in January 2003, it was an easy matter to strap this round myself to go into the office. Wearing a kilt was so well received by colleagues and the public whom I had to deal with and I realised I'd been missing out on this comfort for years.

Yes... for now. MAYBE in a couple years and/or if TONS of people ask for it in PV, but we have a BUNCH of irons in the fire right now, so making the G.A. in PV is low on the list of priorities.

My favorite Kilt is whichever one I happen to be wearing at the moment.
