I may be wrong, but I don't think any of our rabble here would ever part with that much money for a kilt like that!

The kilt is a Scottish garment...
I guess somebody forgot to tell them that Scots are thrifty (or cheap if you prefer)!

Thrifty, frugal, economical, cheap, penny pincher, prudent, tight, stingy, careful, tightfisted, miserly – what-ever term you may want to use. I would never spend that much money for a piece of clothing. That’s more than I spent on my first three cars – combined!

Let's see - for half that price, I can order 120 meters of my family tartan from Marton Mills in P/V, and make 30 great kilts, 30 8-yard kilts, or some combination of the two.
Sustainable commerce is a grand practice, and I support it, but 1 kilt for the price of 60? Sorry, but no.

I think it was Oleg Cassini who said, "If you make something for one person, you go home on the bus. If you make something for many people, you go home in a limousine."

Sustainable anything won't catch on with the masses until it is as cheap, or cheaper, than it's alternative.

So, my boy is branching out! This is something he has wanted to do for quite a while and, whilst I will not be paying that much for just the kilt, I will give him (and Thistle & Broom) all the support I can afford.
Howie has been commissioned to come up with these kilts expressly for T&B - they are NOT available from TFCK.
I have paid just over £1,000 for a kilt, but not recently - and I am not telling which one it is!! Any guesses?

And all this time I thought my White Thistle was expensive.

Nice, but, yiii-i-i!!! Methinks for that amount, I could probably get four traditional kilts made.
