Welcome from Roswell Georgia! Glad to have you. If you are planning on a custom-made kilt, expect an 8-week lead time from when you order - more in some cases. so get down to the weight you feel you can sustain and send those measurements to your kilt-maker. After a 4-year wait, you deserve a custom-made kilt and should accept no less.

Welcome from a fellow Michigander (well, I'm in AZ right now, but I was born and grew up there!)
Save yourself some money and grief on the purchase of your first kilt.
Get either a Stillwater (wool is my preference) if it will fit, or a USAKilt casual.
You can't go wrong either way, and the service from both is GREAT!
P.S. It's hot down here.

Thank you all for the warm welcomes, suggestions, great advice and extended hands.
I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on my first. I'm liking the look of the box-pleated style.
I did try to show her a few tartans and pleats but only get the .
Oh well, I'm sure she'll come around, and if not, well this is about me and how I want to dress, look and feel.
