    Freddie,

Perhaps you should vote under the plan to own one (in favor of the maple leaf)...We are trying to skew the results in our favor...LOL

Thanks Barb, of course I recognise the pictures but hadn't equated them with the Antarctic Tartan as it was in the context of the IOS as I remember.

It's nice but still cannot understand how it won the vote that was held.

Well, different people just like different things. I actually happen to like the Ancient Taylor - looks kind of ghastly in a swatch but it makes a really nice kilt. At least in my opinion. Most people think it could gag a maggot, so it just shows to go that different people have different tastes.

I think that it's the bold contrast in the pleats. Hear is a tartan with white dominant . Offset that with the dark blue (almost purple) makes it quite appetizing, then add the yellow...

    Thanks Barb,

Was as I feared...the Nikon D300 runs from $1,500 to infinity. That's kilt money. Figured the pics were by a pro from the great lighting. Hard for a little digital to digest the tartan action. I've wanted a Cannon Digital Rebel since I first saw the results they produce....just haven't been able to justify spending "kilt money" on a camera.....yet....

    Anceint Taylor

So, my AA sponsor's name is Taylor. Thought I'd surprise him with info on his tartan. Went to Google Images and wound up with three totally different "ancient Taylor" tartans...a purplish, a greenish, and a redish???

Which one were you refering to Barb?

    Thanks

I have a Maple Leaf kilt that is currently stuck in limbo at a kiltmaker who will be making some minor alterations.

I plan on getting both eventually. They are both great looking tartans.
