Here we go again! Welcome from Ontario, Canada. Might I suggest the Leatherneck tartan?
Next thing you know, we'll all be hearing: I see you're wearing a kilt - are you a Marine?

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I am certainly planning on showing up for some local activities!
Monkey@Arms; i actually made it up to manassas and The Kilted Nation earlier this week. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a Kilt shop so close to me. I wore a UK Survival home that night.
Im torn at the moment whether or not i want my next one to be another casual for everyday wear or something more in the traditional vein. Im jonesing for a Leatherneck Tartan, but im still not really sure who i want to deal with for it. SWK is appealing as i have read countless glowing reviews on the forums here, but i have a hard time purchasing things sight unseen.
Anyone from around here have any suggestions for things to do in the area? aside from the obvious touristy stuff of course. Im up for just about anything outdoors, active, or automotive in nature.
Thanks again everyone!
Liberty is never unalienable; it must be redeemed regularly with the blood of patriots or it always vanishes. Of all the so called human rights ... liberty is least likely to be cheap and is never free of cost. - Robert A. Heinlein

I'll wear my weathered Mackenzie SWK standard to kilt night Saturday for you to check the quality. I'm sure you will be impressed.

Welcome from Eastern Washington State. We do some fur trade reenactments up here. Spokane House at NW company and Hudson Bay post is just up the road. Recently we did a big thing on David Thompson and his maps.
