That is a beautiful tartan (and even in our team colors-go Ducks!) I have only seen it in 10 ounce wool before, I'm sure it will look great as a kilt.

Guess I had better learn Photoshop one of these days...

I have 3 yards of 16 oz MacArthur Modern Tartan sitting in my closet waiting for my vaction to start. We MacArthurs always seem to be busy, ask the good sister!!

Thanks for the photos, Sister, the old habit brought back many memories. I was taught by the Sisters of St. Joseph in Detroit (but I think they were a different branch than yours; their Motherhouse was in Cleaveland). My cousin is IHM in Monroe. I loved the family kilt piccie, maybe you can get them to do it for real.

    Hi, Ruanaidh...
It is funny how things work out...Cleveland was a different branch of Sisters of St. Joseph until last spring, then they united with us and five other Sister of St. Joseph congregations to form one large, new Congregation of St. Joseph! The official decree from the Vatican was "promulgated" on March 19, 2007...the Feast of St. Joseph! AND...a group of us is travelling to Cleveland tomorrow for a three day Sister of St. Joseph meeting (if the weather holds out, that is!).

I taught with a delightful IHM Sister in the Detroit area for a couple of years...a really spunky old gal!

    Hey, there, Moosedog...
You don't need photoshop...this is WAY easier...just put your photo into the Paint accesory that comes with Microsoft Word...you can change heads, bodies, everything! Lots of fun!!

This is so great, being able to put a face to the words. Now when I chuckle at your humour or marvel at your bravery, I can have an accurate mental image.

    Thanks for posting!
