It looks incredible. The pleating is superb. I would like to point out, however, that I think it flares to much at the sides of the apron. Please don't think I'm being critical! I don't know how to fix this - perhaps a deeper first pleat, or simply pressing it differently. I just know that the kilt should wrap more around the legs there than flaring. But this is still an excellent kilt.

Andrew and Ian, I agree with you. I wanted an "A" shape, but not that much. I will try to press the deep pleats more straight after washing the kilt.

Actually, I am glad that you guys pointed that out. I will be more aware of that in my next atempt. There're also other points that I am not so pleased with (that the pictures cannot show), but I will get the Art of Kiltmaking before my next atempt. Hopefully I will manage to improve with the time

Thanks for your kindness in make it clear that they were constructive comments. I did not expect nothing else from a XMTS'er, but is good to be on the safe side!

Very pretty work, Azevedo! I envy your skill and your patience.

I hope you understand that Andrew means his comments constructively. We are not accustomed to people who get everything right the first time.

Oh, absolutely I meant them constructively! I'm sure any kilt I made wouldn't come out that well on my first try. It's an awesome job. I just hope that my comments will help your next kilt come out even better.

    Andrew.
