Rugby memories
Back in Alaska in the early 70s, I was coerced onto a rugby team by some transplanted Texans. I had seen a couple of matches in college but never played. Having once been a college football player, and still kind of rugged, I figured rugby would be a snap. After the first practice, I was the first to acknowledge the bumper sticker that all the "real" players had...."it takes leather balls to play rugby." Work and a new baby took over and I never played again after that first year, but my hat is off to those who can, and do, play.
