Jay, what a great gift...it may not be a tank, but the thought is certainly generous enough!

Jim. that is patently a gift of love; you are indeed a blessed man. Note that I said "blessed", not "lucky". I can't believe that luck was involved; I'm sure that this gift is acknowledgement of how well you have treated her. Please be very careful about giving her Barb's book; that could be interpreted as a criticism of the quality of her gift, which I'm sure is not your intent.
Best wishes.

What a great gift! And it most certainly is not a "Mc Tablecloth". Very smart.

That is a wonderful gesture. With neighbors like that... I think you will find that the material will be great to throw on and just lounge around in it.
The thought was really great!

Jay, that is a awesome looking kilt. Your neighbor is really talented with needle and thread.

I would never dream of showing here Barb's book, at least not for a couple of months!! Friendship is one thing and imposition is another. When I asked her to sew down the fells before, she did them as I was standing there, and she made that sewing machine really sing (must have been a Singer?) I mean zip, zip, zip, and she was done, and talking all the time. She is a good neighbor, and friend, and I will help her all I can, even with out the kilt. I am trying to figure what I can get for her, as partial re-payment, and as a small way to say thanks.
I am still amazed that she threw together this product from just handling the kilts she did. She did say that they were just like the school skirts she used to make for her two daughters, only easier as she didn't have to pleat them all the way around, and no zippers or buttons either.

James,
I would not give her Barb's book either. Where she does like to sew, a gift certificate or better yet, a shopping trip, to the fabric store of her choice, with the condition that you get to buy something for the "stash". If it is the shopping trip, I am sure she will enjoy your company on the trip, and treasure whatever "finds" that you bring home.
