    I would think that once it felts, it all felts up and shrinkage is uncontrollable and unreversable.

    No, I had a pair of black hose that were always just a little too big. They accidentally got a trip in the dryer and came out perfect. However, my Lewis hose fit perfectly BEFORE their trip in the dryer. I really must pay more attention when I load the dryer. :-/
