Thanks again for all the replies! I am really happy with this kilt and tartan! I wore it Sunday to our Mother's Day brunch paired with dark red shirt and hose, (sorry no pictures ) and I got quite a few positive remarks from folks at the pub.

Very nice looking kilt. I think you made a very good choice by combining it with the lovat blue shirt and hose. In my opinion kilt with a black background really benefits from lighter or contrasting accessories.

I got married in my American Heritage and have worn it more than any other kilt since then. When my wife saw the tartan on Rocky's site before the wedding , it pushed her over the line , and I got to order a new kilt to get married in.
