Lesson learned, Deep Woods Off is your friend, apply liberally to lower limbs, often.

I am the mosquito magnet in our family. Despite liberal applications of mosquito repellent (horrible stuff that it is), I still managed to acquire 27 mosquito bites (yes, I counted them!). I imagine the symptoms of West Nile virus will start any day now.
Be well,

Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

Seriously Jamie, it looks like a great time.

That pre-1955 coleman stove in the first picture caught my eye. Although I'm not a collector, I've never been one to pass up a classic stove or mica globed lantern.. Good to see the vintage stuff still in service.

My Dad offered it to us and I saw no reason not to put it to use. It worked fine and its tank of white gas lasted for the entire weekend.
Cheers

I have to say I didn't enjoy it very much*, mostly because it seemed like we forgot to leave all the dysfunction at home, and in a VW camper it seemed all the more intensified.
I'm assuming that my folks have forgotten this by now.
So, here are some things I learned while camping as an adult:
Camping more fun when there's no one around telling you you're doing it (whatever) wrong.
Camping is way more fun with a couple of six packs or a big bottle of daquaris in the cooler.

Only getting caught with alcohol is verboten.
