    I LOVE it!

It looks a little more terracotta to me than orange. I have a scarf for the winter of a very similar colour which goes well with my kilt, so I'm told.

If you've got the bottle to wear brighter colours, go for it! I'm still getting used to hearing of folks wearing PV kilts and others wearing flip-flops, us not having the weather for such things over on this side of the pond!

    Cheers

Thanks Guys! Again, I was not sure about it, but the orange is really an ancient red (at least that is what the hose are labled as) This matches really nice with the stripe that is in the kilt that does not really show up in the photo. Here is more of a closeup...

I have this kilt pleated to this stripe and looks really nice from the back!

It is MacKinnon Hunting, so orange seems appropriate.

Right, he doesn't need to wear a safety vest with that outfit.

It does look good, but I would need some time to adopt to brightness , or use sun-glasses.

Brown leathergoods might tone better than black, and maybe lovat green ties rather than bottle green to better match the green in the tartan. Looks good, but expect to be noticed.

I wanted to not like this outfit but I just can't do it - the more I look at it the more I like it. Ancient red is (to my eye anyway) a great color. Not quite orange and not quite fire engine red its more like tomato red. Anyway somehow it all just "works."

    Two thoughts

I don't know how you ever managed to find a shirt that appears to be an exact match to the hose - well done!

If anything the brightness of the shirt and hose pulls me away from this terrific looking kilt and that's a bit of a shame. Its a beautiful tartan!

    Cheers!
