I set the first pic as my background for my laptop. I'd love to be there.

Well well, thank you all for your kind comments about the pictures and yes I do miss my wee camera that was not much bigger than a credit card.It fitted into my pocket a treat and suited my outdoor style well.I have learned lots of things since my recent dip in the river, of which two are; I must get a new wee camera PDQ and the second is that when I retire, are my sons listening,I will get a better set of camera gear,as well, to take advantage of the scenery, colours, light, etc.,that we have up here.I would very much enjoy sharing this part of our wonderful world with those that cannot make it here to see for themselves. In passing, I now know how it feels to be "newboy" in the kilt world-----change the word "kilt" to photography and I am walking in a mine field------lenses,Nikon,Canon,Pentax,Isu,filters,shutter speeds, auto this, auto that, flash, tripods and of course with my now, world renowned technilogical know how, its all as clear as------- well-----er------um-------MUD?

I'm trying so hard not to be envious, but it is hard. Once again, I am struck by the overwhelming urge to pay you a visit. Oh, I bought one of those small cameras to catch shots of my dogs on point, but the middle daughter has appropriated it.

Well, it looks like no trout for me this year. The rivers that I usually fish got caught in that big flood last year...and, believe me, I don't feel bad about the fishing but I feel awful about all of those nice people up there in Minnesota and Wisconsin who got their homes and businesses wrecked by that flood.

I'll try to find some solace in fly rodding for crappie or smallmouth down here in Illinois. Crappie are particularly susceptible to taking a fly and are better than nothing. They ain't two-handed salmon but they keep the reflexes in tune.

That looks like it was a very fine day of fishing. What lovely soundings.
