I was raised to have a similar attitude. "Always try to walk away from a fight. But if you can't, make sure he can't either."
Well done for not letting this guy think he runs the show. Do watch out for yourself though. Like others have said, cowards like this guy don't like to lose face. He might try to start some more nonsense.

I hope his friend thinks it's a skirt. Then he'll be telling all their mutual friends that your acoster was pushed down by a guy in a skirt... It will be that much more degrading.
Good for you

If you were in line at a pharmacy, you can be sure the incident was caught on camera at the time. What a stupid kid to pick a fight there!

Krav Maga is great stuff.
It's the one martial art I've wanted to study but is hard to find in Canada. MMA has been great to me though, but KM is excellent for dealing with multiple opponents and disarming.
Don't sound so ashamed of yourself. Either you defended yourself when needed, or you did not. Sounds like you felt threatened and delivered before you got hit. Good.

Man Hector, that is a real shame. In my 2+ year of wearing the kilt I have never had to deal with more than the occasional smirk. It does sound like you handled it well and that he was not expecting a response. In his mind, a guy in a kilt is an easy mark. You just proved him wrong.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

And if ever they are, drop me a line and I'll be more than happy to drive out to whichever side of our state you're on and hand you some kilted backup.
Also, where did you train in Krav Maga? I've always dearly wanted to study it, it's probably the best official martial art for street defense.

Maybe. Predators don't like prey that bites them back.

OK, so what is it? I'm not familiar with the style. I study shotokan myself.

Good on you!
I to am a KM student. Interesting how kilts and KM come together here.
I would have to be very careful about my response. All of the training I have done is very direct and assumes no quarter will be given. It's good that you presented the correct amount of force. I don't know that I'd have done the same. Course, I'd probably have ended up in jail too...
Again, good job. I hope they leave you alone.
To everyone else: If he is a Krav Maga student, do not fret, he's prepaired!!
