Beautiful, a credit to your unit for sure sir.
Best photo of the RRS kilt I've seen so far, thank you for that.
I pine for a pleat shot though.....

Congratulations N J !I have only just noticed the crown on your shoulder,well done you on your promotion.Last time I saw you in uniform,so to speak, you had three pips.

My congratulations also. I was attached to 4RGJ back in the '60's so I know just how much time and effort goes into your work in the TF. It is great to see those who really believe in honour, duty.

And what about the so called new 'government tartan' that the RRS is supposed to start wearing now, it is similar to the black watch but is 2 shades of blue.
Any time frame for that?

Re: SF everywhere... With respect to the fine members/veterans of the USMC, I've met only about 40% of Marines who did not claim to have been Recon. The USMC is enough of an elite organization that men shouldn't claim Recon. No, I'm not Marine bashing; every branch has these guys. It just seems that in my experience almost every Marine I meet was Recon. I've turned it into the same sort of joke. The grunts & mechanics have every right to be proud of their service in an outstanding institution.
