I was watching The Miracle Worker with Anne Bancroft on TCM last night, tonight they are playing Camille with Greta Garbo, so thanks for posting the link Rex or I would have never seen that.

My wife is really into the show, and I like watching the amazing dancers. Josh had on some type of Royal Stewart bath towel thing, but on Twitch I saw two straps on the right side and one on the left, which would indicate a kilt, although I agree with Ehiker that it seemed like it had pleats all around.

Most wouldn't care whether they were backwards. I cared some and immediately noticed, only because I know a thing or two about kilts BUT I was HAPPY to have seen kilts on national US television being used by these truly talented, TERRIFIC dancers on a show that personally I consider the ONE of the BEST talent/reality shows out there.

Out of the millions, I hope a thousand or a hundred, whatever number, will have seen it and said hey I should check it out... Or thought, my husband would look good in those... Once they check it out, they will learn how to wear it, etc, etc.

The effect on the guys here in the forum is one of amusement, criticism, indeed ridicule. But because you ARE the choir; you need not be preached to. It is those that know nothing about it that need to be exposed to it and like I said, if they bite, they will soon find out the what's and how's of kilts and kilt-wearing.

To the producers of the show "So You Think You Can Dance" --- I say truly good on ya and thank you!

It's great advertisement for kilts on NATIONAL TV!
    I second that.

I was in my room watching a movie when my dad burst in and said the guys on that show were wearing kilts, so I rewound it to the begining on the tivo and watched it with him. He thought it was funny that I knew the one guy had his kilt on backwards, and he laughed when I said "That's just shameful..." But yeah, I wish someone woulda helped them put those things on properly, now I'm no kilt police, but at least wear it with the pleats in the back like God intended!
