Anyone else love wine?

I like wine. Mostly reds, French, California, Chilean, and even some Italian reds. Have only found one wine in Iowa I can drink so far, though we are having an explosion in vineyards and wineries of late. I like to try things I have not tried before, but I really do prefer full bodied reds.

Only in excess. Ontario, white for me. Not a fan of red though.

I know this is completely off topic (hence why I posted this in the off topic section), but I'm sitting back right now listening to good music, and enjoying a bottle of shiraz.

Anyone else got some good vineyards to recommend?

I am also not a "cognizati"

But I "consider "true Mead" being made from Grain & hopped. (like Beer with HONEY)
This type is a "WINE Mead" ( friut based)
BUT I LIKE IT !!!

Oh am I ever a fan. I enjoy many of the award winning BC wines, a lot of Australians, South Africans, and a few select others. I am more of a red fan, but once in awhile I find a white I just love. I'm not really crazy about the french reds or the California wines, with the exception of a few Zinfandels, which are among my personal favorites.

The wines that I truly love are the Rieslings and the Gerweizmeiners

I will take them hands down over ant other types of wine

Then again my favorite cuisine is German...

Thoughts of sauerbraten paired with a crisp Riesling fill my head and I am suddenly very very hungry!
