Have a question. Why are we not sharing the name of the vendor here?

Shipping department errors can happen, still not a good thing. The unresponsiveness of the vendor in this situation seems, combined with the initial shipping error, to warrant a warning to the rabble.

Unresponsiveness to errors that involve added expense and inconvenience to customers bespeaks an attitude of customer no-service I'd prefer to avoid. Not knowing the vendor in question makes avoidance more difficult.

    Thanks,

I think that one thing to remember about internet e-stores is that many are part-time things. If an owner goes out of town for a day or two or a week, there may no one to check. I don't have an internet store but I do have a mountain home and if I'm there for a few days writing or studying, I don't have interent connection.

Customers have to remember that cell phones and emails are not a way of life but a simple convenience that we shouldn't expect immediate responses from. ith:

For sure Padre - with a small operation. The vendor in question here is capable of shipping a full turnout - jacket, kilt, sealskin sporran. That's a well financed large operation that certainly should have responsive staff available.

If somehow its just a one man middleman assembling the turnout like a personal shopper with a webfront, "We order it in after you order it from us" then I would like to know that too.

And, as many rabble know, the "We've been on vacation/sick/at the games" excuse is far too overused in this market.

Really do perceive the vendor as a large one who should provide responsive staff.

You can have any two of price, quality, or service.

The whole shipping industry must be wacky today! I ordered an Argyll and got a plain jacket with no epaulets or gauntlet cuffs. Happened this morning so I'm waiting on a response from the vendor... I complained about not having the epaulets or cuffs... I hope they do better than sending me a sewing kit and the likewise. -gulp-

***. I'd like to hear who this is. Especially if they don't jump all over this problem, which they seem to not be doing.

Well, the vendor the kilt package was ordered from seems to be Tartan Web Scotland, but on the shipping paperwork, R. G. Hardie & Co was the company name. A third party supplier I guess?

Their site does appear to be comphrehensive and "professional". The delay must be due to them being ahead of us - time zone speaking. You just can't catch up to them.
