I'll second that! Back in the early 1950's (Eeeek! Was it REALLY that long ago?!) I spent many happy schoolboy holidays with my pen-friend and his family in Normandy. For about six consecutive years I went to their seaside home at Villers-sur-Mer (pas loin de Lisieux) for four weeks each summer. Occasionally, I would also go at Easter-time, but then we would stay at their Paris house!

Normandy was then an extremely beautiful area, and probably still is in spite of the new Autoroutes and increased traffic! I have fond memories of the large apple orchards (for cidre et Calvados), the peaceful countryside and the attractive half-timbered architecture of the country farmhouses and cottages.

I have not been back for far too many years - but now I am getting ideas for new holidays!

    Take care,
    Ham.

That's certainly not what I think of when I think of Normandy. Thanks for the pics.

Maintenant, je veux voir ce qui est sous la neige. S'il vous plaît envoyer des photos de l'été au jardin.

[I hope I got any of that right.]
