its great reading some of the threads on this forum ,sometimes i get the impression alot of members are more proud of the scots/irish ancestors than the actual scots/irish are.thankfully im one of those scots who are proud of there heritage with scotland and ireland ive traced just about most of my family tree going back in some sides 700 years and my own surname back to the 1600s, my irish side that came over in the famine are harder to trace mainly due to the costs with irish genology but perhaps over time it`ll be easier to get the info
anyways enough of my bleathering

From Toronto, Ontario, Canada. My mom is from Coatbridge the family came here in the 1950's. The funny thing is I meet people from
Coatbridge all the time, wherever I go. Glad you found the forum.

for a small town with about 60,000 folk they fairly get about ive noticed,what part of coatbridge did they come from ?

I was just on the phone with her she said she lived on Albion Street.

im 8 floors up in highflats just off Coat st i reckon im about 300 yards from Albion street if i went out into my landing and looked out the window i see more or less all the houses at albion st,
i`ll try get a photo in the next few days out the window for you,
you might be able to see yer mums house in it
