Welcome Welcome Valeria! Nice to have another woman around here! Good luck with knitting the argyle hose, I've never knitted hose or argyle, but it sounds like a fun challenge, maybe I should give it a try. Hope you find what you are looking for here!

Wow, so many replies Thank you all for this warm welcome
I'm going to find my way now to the DIY forumpart and D has posted a thread about the cuff already and it's morning over here and found out yet that I've a book called highland clans & tartans from R.W.Munro....*slaps hand to forehead* so should be able to find more info in there as well. It's not a knitting book but I like to learn more about this as well. I found this book a few weeks ago in a thrift store and like it a lot. Always have been very interested in England but mostly Scottish history. Not that I know a lot about it but the stuarts always had atraction many years ago to read about that time and why scotland became a part of england and so on.
I can talk huh?? ;) Well since I've been on ravelry I'm improving
ali8780 always great to see another woman as well it's a bit overwhelming all those men in kilts in a good way that is And please join the knitting, it's so much fun and challenging and as said there is a great and big group out there called ravelry, it's a community with many many knitting and crochet groups and with many great people who help as well. Every knitting newbie is welcome not only female, we love the men as well( duh...men are where I mostly knit my socks for ;)) it's great.

Your English is just fine. Try not to pick up bad habits from some of us here. Good luck with the project.
