Ghillie Brogues are a matter of personal taste, for a wedding though why not wear them. One last thing, before you go to the wedding be sure to wash your face.
I agree wi th Glen overall, It is a GREAT LOOK.
A personal note on Ghillie's, IMHO, they may be a little too dressy with the Tweed.
BTW, that TARTAN is GREAT.

With no reflection on this gentleman, I have to confess that, even after my time on this site, I am surprised to see a Scotsman coming to us for advice on how to wear a kilt. Is this place awesome or not?

Your outfit is grand indeed. A sporran change maybe, and more blue in the face mask!

Yes sir-E !
Don't change anything, this is perfect.
Show us the other sporran option just in case...
But then again... I just love the one you are wearing.
Bravo !

Thanks for all the positive comments. I would post a pic of the other sporran option but the camera is packed away - the wedding we're going to is abroad and we leave for the airport in 10 hours.
I will pack both sporrans and another shoe option and decide on the day. It's a late afternoon wedding so I might just go for the dress sporran and ghillies to dress it up a little.
I'll post photo's on my return......... face and all.
Thanks again.

The outfit works, but I think you have something on your face.

1. Does the overall look work?
My goodness, YES! 2. Does the blue tie work? I have other options - brown, black, tartan - I like the blue though as I think it goes quite well with the kilt.
Well, if it were me, I'd spend a Saturday or the fleeting hours after work scouring the shopping malls for a solid pale turquoise tie, as if one existed, but what you've picked there looks wholly wedding-appropriate to me. 3. Should I go with the sealskin sporran? I have a semi dress - black leather and fur.
I really love the way that sporran you have on there looks with that kilt. I say keep it. 4. Gillie brogues yes or no?
If you have them, why not? Your outfit is smashing. The gray spot, not so much. Looking forward to the rest of the photos.

Rex.
