Regarding headgear, the Glengarry lets the sweat run out, but the Balmoral holds it in. Something to consider.
KiltMart is about 1-1/2 miles down the street from where I work. It makes it easy for me to go in and check the goods when I want to buy something. I've gotten a couple of sporrans from them that are very serviceable. (Ask MuffinMan. He took one of my Kiltmart sporrans with him on his recent cruise.)I think that everything that they sell is made in Pakistan. KFP could make a trip to Phoenix (about a 90 minute to 2 hour drive). They do have real horse hair sporrans for $99.

Now that the Glendale website that I posted previously is working, I realize that they don't have any useful pictures.
Here's one of my instructor, who is Pipe Sergeant of the Glendale Police Pipe and Drum Band.

Never lose sight of that.
the only way I can respond to this is
I bought 2 dvd's a few years back. "instrument of war part I&II"
even since then, seeing the brave men who played under the most...shall we say "stressful" conditions, along with the History of great players...I took the music more seriously.
to put it into perspective.
at the "firefighter combat challenge" event I played Friday.
the PM and I checked tuning of our chanters ( to make sure I was in tune w/ them)
I noticed my high hand was a little shrill compared to his. I said as much , and was told " it's not that bad , don't worry bout it"
I looked at him and said " sorry , but I'm gonna worry bout it" I then got out the tape , fixed it up in about 2 mins and checked again. it was spot on. and I FELT alot better about it.
it will always be about the music for me
but thanks for keeping me in check

It's good to know to know your priorities are in order. Wish many other PB's leadership would adopt the same.
And if it was my decision, the over-used PB look of short-sleeved white shirts, black waistcoats, and white hose would be banished.

I couldn't agree more.

I agree. Their jackets are very nice. I suggest you still consider a shirt of some kind for informal occasions like the "firefighter combat challenge" and Chili Cookoffs.
