Looking good. But out of curiosity did management say anything to you?

Incredible breakthrough! Congratulations. Do hope it holds for you sir.
Was my experience just showing up kilted that sooner or later management's power and control issues will have them confronting the kilt. Hope not. Know you're prepared. Good luck.

You looked very smart and professional IMHO, and they should have done exactly what they did which is to leave you alone. Well done.

I just found this thread and by coincidence interviewed for an overnight stocker with one of our local Walmarts kilted no less. I was wearing my Black Stewart and while I was waiting I was getting nothing but positive comments from everyone I spoke to. Once I got through the interviews and got to the point of the job offer the department manager asked if I had any questions for him, and I politely asked if there would be any issue with my prefered choice of wearing a kilt (since I am kilted full time) and I was told there shouldn't be a problem as long as I'm wearing khaki or tan. At the moment the closest that I have to that is my saffrons so hopefully by this Friday or next Monday I should be recieving a call to come in for orientation and I'll find out if the saffrons are acceptable until I can purchase a few modern khaki's.

Good for you. In addition to Utilikilts, I can highly recommend Alpha Kilts. I recently got one of their new Compass kilts in black (they now have it in khaki) and I really like it. You might consider either the Utilikilt Survival or Workman models both of which have privacy arrangements whereby you could climb a ladder without concern. I prefer the arrangement on the Survival.

I've been looking into the alphas, I've also been looking into Altkilts to. At the moment Utilikilts are a little out of my price range on the main site and the resellers normally don't have my waist size(30") in stock most have 34 and above.

Good on you, Mael!! I was up in your neck of the woods, last weekend. Ate dinner at the Fredericksburg Pub, at the mall....... was treated to a wonderful evening, as all employees were kilted!! I'll drop ya a line, next time I'm stomping around "up north".
