Great pictures, thanks for posting. I always feel once you get north of Dunkeld towards Pitlochry you are in the Highlands proper. Just a shame you didn't have any company there.

Looks great, eagerly anticipating more...
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.

Day 2 – Visit to Clan Center
The Donnachaidhs’ know how to plan for a Annual Gathering Program. This afternoon there was to be a walking tour of Blair Atholl and Old Blair with an interpretative talk. I went to Bruar where the Donnachaidh Clan Center is for a tour. There are some magnificent Clan artifacts there and history of the Clan.

Of course I’m wearing my Robertson Red! A great 5 yarder by USA Kilts.
There is a magnificent statute of Highland Soldier in front of the Clan Center. The House of Bruar in the background are upscale shops. I was told it had been coined the Harrods of the Highlands.

Here’s the dedication inscription.

Ern
Thanks for the new set of photos, especially the John Graham shot, as a member of Clan Graham myself I appreciate it.

I love the coo Ern... those big hairy things are pretty funny to meet!
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.
