    can you show me what the "Isle of Skye marble stone used for the catch on the Dirk’s pouch" looks like? I'm not familliar with a catch to hold the dirk in the sheath. . . . or am I off base and not understanding the term?

    at the gathering

    Rab - I was at the gathering but was not invited to participate in the presentation of this Dirk to HRH. Just an oversight, I imagine, but nevertheless, one representative of my Clan was there I believe. IAC, I am blown away by the detail and exquisitly fine lines you manage in the handle. I'd be interested in more info about your methodology including how you lay out the pattern and begin cutting..
