Just a thought, but since we have many pipers who are members here, perhaps they could all, play a piece at the same hour on the day that Red is laid to rest. Perhaps Highland Cathedra, Amazing Grace l or some other such piece. It could be at the time of the funeral, or maybe at some other designated time. I'm not a piper, but I would join in if I were. If this were to be done, I would find the tune online and listen to it at the designated hour. If everyone were to do this, we could have a thousand or more pipe tunes going all over the world as a tribute to Red.

That gives me a thought- what about a worldwide X Marks kilt night, with web cams and wifi, with these pipers? That way we can all more or less be together.

Craig introduced me to Laphroaig. I wish I could have known him better. I just found out about this and will play AG in memory of him tonight.

Len Wood, of the Phoenix Pipe Band, will be playing Amazing Grace at the service at Craig's request --- pipers, please do join in. I think that Len is also going to play outside as people arrive before the service.

Then it's going to be hard to keep from tearing up. I'll have to make sure to have a clean handkerchief with me.
