My guess is the dog will remain in the company of the Senator's widow.

Speaking as a native Bay Stater represented on Capitol Hill by Senator Kennedy for my entire lifetime, he will be sorely missed.

I thought that the Obamas might take Splash, because Sen Kennedy persuaded Pres Obama to get his daughters a Portuguese Water Dog as well.

It's amazing how powerful he was on the political scene even in these last few years. He made a huge impact on the US. You won't see a politician like this again for a while.
