I sent for my advanced tickets and parking pass on Tuesday, and have my hotel reservations already done too. Can't wait to get on the road. It will be grand ta see everyone again.
How formal is the dance on Friday night? I have yet to attend one and don't know just what to wear!

It's a formal one, If you're talking about the Patron's Reception.

It's not a dance. Its more of a patron's/sponsor reception. As a sponsoring clan, I should get tickets for it. But I don't know if I will go or not. Turpin, have you been?
I'm not sure about the dinner Saturday night. If we do travel with the dog, we'll have to get back to the hotel to let her out. But I'm beginning to think about putting her up in the doggy hotel. We'll see.

Quite frankly, the patron reception is a bit of a bore...The food is splendid though. However, that is where 'you' as a convener will pick up your tickets and packet for the game. Every one is dressed to the nines.

Now that I have an "Official " flyer in hand I see what I thought was going to be a "Dance". The " Distinguished Guests Reception" is at 7:00PM followed by the RSCDS Gala at 8 pm. on Friday. On Saturday evening there will be Scottish Country Dance at 8:00 PM. At the Hilton Atlanta Northeast Hotel.

There is usually a caleidh of some kind at the campground on Saturday nite. Semi-spontaneous and informal, but with a piped march/stroll around the grounds.

On Sunday, we started cleaning up the site after the chili cook-off on Saturday. There was a huge mess but now it's ready to start setting everything up! Less than 3 weeks left!
