Congrats, Steve. As one who is fairly new, let me express how much I value the information and guidance I have gotten off this site.
And as one also smitten with the cromach of curmudgeonry (according to my wife) let me say hang in there and keep swingin' at 'em!!!

I never had the privilege of exchanging views with Hank, this I regret although I'm sure there will be more oportunity now and in the future. I do feel I know Steve through threads and from speaking personally to people who have met him. I cannot think of a better Captain at the helm.
One question. With the turning of this new page, any chance of letting some old friends back in? Puffer and James MacMillan are two of several that spring to mind. Not sure of the circumstances of their dismissal but they ARE lovers of the kilt undoubtedly and contributed well here. At least from the perspective of the rank and file.

Steve, I think the forum is fortunate that you have stepped up to the plate. A transition like this must be a bit of a daunting prospect, but you're the man for the job. XMTS is in good hands and with you and the truly great mod staff, I expect only good things in the future for the Ladies and Gentlemen of XMarks. Congratulations and best of luck.

Congratulations, and welcome to the new role.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

This great news Steve. My warmest congratulations to you coupled with my grateful thanks to Hank for all that he has done in providing a firm base for our community.
Being one of the original members of XMtS, I have witnessed its spectacular growth and development over the past six years or so - maybe even played a wee part in that myself, who knows?! However, one must not forget that a 'Clan' such as this depends upon the quality of its membership, as well as its administrators and guardians, for its success and healthy future. None of which would be possible without a fine benefactor. So, my personal thanks go to you for assuming that mantle.
I have not yet seen Hank's announcement but will go off in search of it.
Take care,
Ham.
