That explains it then. What's interesting is the way looking in a mirror seems to affect the way colours are perceived or maybe that's my eyes.
That is probably a real effect, a result of the reflective properties of the mirror coating over the visual spectrum. Or in my room, it might be the layer of dust on the mirror's surface!
