Black Watch tartan kilt wearers- question:

When wearing my Blackwatch my two favorite sets of hose are either the WPG khaki with red garter flashes as seen below or for dressier situations I'll wear my Highland Green hose from blackwatchkiltshop.com with dark blue garter flashes. There are so many combos already mentioned above but IMHO a lovat green and dark blue garter ties will go for just about any occasion.

White socks and Harley boots! Summer is just sandals with no socks or anything else!

I only wear one hose with my kilt, and it is permanently attached under it!

Blue hose... I prefer a muted (darker) Steel Blue, perhaps even Navy (although I haven't personally worn the latter); but, bottle-green works fine as well. I got free-flashes as part of a promotion with my kilt when I bought it... Your mileage may vary.

As for the Stewart Hunting, I'm not familiar enough with the tartan to say anything without seeing it.
