    Ceilidh Wear

Great look, Paul. You clearly had a good time. It appears that the pic was taken towards the end of the evening, so you can safely ignore any minute criticism of your dress (which is not justified in any event). For a ceilidh in Scotland you were dressed absolutey correctly. Wel done.

I think the picture illustrates, again, that the Scots are not too much worried about all this matching up nonsense. It is judging the circumstances of the event and not over dressing. That is the real trick! For the event above, does it matter what sporran, chain or whatever is worn, does it matter where the kilt hangs(after a night of high jinks, gravity is bound to take effect!) informal is informal and a good time was had by three people most certainly! I am not jealous, honest!

    thanks guys!
There were 2 gents with cantles on their sporrans - and to be honest they didn't stand out at all from myself and David. I'd have gotten a picture with all those kilted if they hadnt have left right after Auld Lang Syne!
I stayed for a chat with David (and another whisky!)
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

paul i think you pulled it off well and im glad you wore a flashy chain rather than those standard dug leash chains that everyone wears and i agree with jockscot that all this matching carryon can get in the way of a good night
