Great pics, Rex. And, once again I will say that I like the choice of fabric for the kilt and the way it was put together. Well done for creativity and uniqueness.

It looks like you had a great time. Thanks for sharing the pictures, though additional pictures of the brides friends would be more than welcome.
And your halloween avatar is great!

Thank you for the suggestion. I was only in long enough to get my bearings and find some lunch. I kept company by catching up on XMTS and email after a four-day blackout. I was starting to get the shakes.

Well, there certainly were a lot of photos snapped at that particular moment.
I knelt down on one knee to take that picture. The girls noticed the position of my forward leg and congratulated me for knowing how to protect my modesty - after they feigned being able to see up my skirt.
By the way, here a picture of the souvenir silver and turquoise pin I bought to commemorate the trip and purpose of the kilt.
Regards,
Rex.

And that is a fantastic kilt, it goes beautifully with the location and occasion. Thanks for the pictures.

That is a lovely pin, and the fact that it is special to the trip really makes it very fitting.
And of course you wear the kilt very well, it looks just right!(If I might be so bold!)

Rex, those are great pics. You look great. May I ask about your belt and sporran? I would like a brown set and they look very nice.

Andy - the sporran is (I think) a Rob Roy sporran, but I don't recall where I got it. Might have ordered it from Matt at the Tartan Museum Gift Shop (Buzz Kidder also offers the same), or I might have picked it up at an event. I have the same style in black, too, and I think they are so roomy and practical, I hardly ever think about buying others. (I do have semi-dress one for nicer occasions, but I have to be selective about what I put in there.) It's not one of the draw-string kind - the gathers are sewn in, and its structure sort of reminds me of a baseball glove.
The belt and sporran straps are from Oconee Leather Works.
Regards,
Rex.

Thanks Rex! I like the Kidder sporrans too. Very practical and look good. I had not seen one in brown.
