I'm thinking the same thing. It might be the right 'excuse' to tell my boss I want to wear a kilt to work.

Unfortunately, Nov. 30 through Dec. 4 are not looking pleasant at all on my schedule, however, I have been asked to play the pipes at a local church for St. Andrew's Day on the 29th. That should be nice!

St Andrew's day is one of the few days on the calendar that I can justify to management wearing the kilt to work at a customer site. Being that I'm supposed to report to a new site on the 30th, I don't think my company's management would be pleased with the first impression it would make. Sort of a bummer.

My celebrations are limited (unless I happen to fall in with Scots on that day, when the results are horrible since I'm not a big drinker): normally I just fire off emails with paste-ons of Burns poetry attached, picking those on my email lists who seem to have Scottish names, then let the recipients spend as much time as they like decyphering them (^_^)

Reported early to the new job. Three days is enough time to be a new guy before I show up in a kilt right? I sure hope so, because I'll be kilted at the 0830 staff meeting on Monday!
