You could sell photos like those. There's a photographer who always has a booth at the Highland Games around here. She/he travels around Scotland taking photos and sell prints of various sizes. His/hers are no more artistic than yours!

    Dawn Treader! Nice!
Thanks! I almost didn't post the 2nd pic because that bush on the left side ruins the composition, but it's such a nice looking main street that it makes up for it. My camera now is a mid priced digital, not slr so it's a hassle to focus. Often times my soft focus shots come from the autofocus deciding to focus on what's up close rather than what's far away, and I can't really tell on the lcd screen. Back in the states I have an old Olympus OM-1, and I may start snapping pics with that again. The step back to film would be a step forward in artistic control.

Beautiful photos of lovely countryside taken along what appears to be a very scenic and serene route. My envy abounds. Glad you had fun.

My envy especially abounded when I saw your first picture of the sign for the Tobermory distillery---one of my all time favorite brands, and the wife even loves it.

The distillery was a pleasant surprise. I'd not had Tobermory before and really liked it. It has more of a bourbon like character to it than other single malts I've tasted. In fact, their ageing room smelled exactly like Maker's Mark. My wife liked it too, so I think we'll pick up a bottle to take back to the States with us.

Tobermory is a quiet and oft unappreciated brand that sits prominently on my shelf, and whose spot is quickly refilled when the bottle runs low.

Again lovely photos. I especially like the feeling of solitude you achieved remarkably by having few if any humans in your photos. I too am a student of the photographic arts, definitely better behind than in front of the camera.
