    My wife in Australian National.

Shane and Dave (Black watch, Hunting Stewart)

Robertson and Emma. (Roberson in thistle themed Kilt and multi-tartan tie)

And so to the Dinner (In no particular order).

Cockaleekee soup. Capon chicken cooked with leeks and prunes. There was also a leekee only version for the veggies amongst us. (I shall not descend into the obvious jokes here but they did cause much merriment at the time.)

Paul sneeks a drop of Scots courage before reciting.

    In mid throws.

I'm sure he's thinking 'thank goodness that's over.' (Ancient Campbell)

    The smoked Salmon...

    The smoked Salmon... Mmmmm

    Dave gets up.

    Shane gets up

    Paul gets up

    Sandra does her bit.

    Niall recites.

    The Haggis arrives

    The Haggis is addressed

The Haggis is devoured with bashed tatties, neeps, skirlie which is an oatmeal accompanyment and Whisky cream sauce...
Quote from Samuel Johnson’s Dictionary of 1755: "Oats - A grain, which in England is generally given to horses, but in Scotland supports the people".

Alex (Cessna152towser) delivers his poem in matching Cunningham Kilt and Wesskit.

Emma gives a snapshot from Rab Wilson's poetry. A contemporary Scottish Poet and modern day Burns. Mostly written in Scots, it's Stunning stuff and Emma and Robertson introduced me to these. I have two of his books, accent of the mind and life sentance. I think his work is wonderful. There's a link to an entry about him in the Scottish Poetry Library here Well worth getting his books.

    Dee gives us his piece.

Chas gives "A toast to the lassies"

    Çağman ponders a suitable reply...

Robertson gives us Tam o' Shanter

    Puddin'

The Airship rested among us throughout, no doubt enjoying the evening as it progressed.

After the meal we viewed the collection.

    Shane in Awe...

Çağman shows off her winnings. A fine bottle of Gordon and McPhail 10yo. She was the only one to identify the "Mystery Malt" and identified it by colour and smell alone. One in the eye for all the "experts" there. I'm still trying to live that down.

And so the very next day... To Camelot... I mean to Caeverlock

    The front door.

    In the parlour.

A group shot (with Saltire and flag) on the balcony.

    From the back garden.

    Right... That's enough!

Thanks for the pics John. It was nice to see that the Ferintoch was still standing after the viking raid. Wish I could be there with you.
