You and Ann are in our thoughts and prayers.
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.

Hi, Alex – you and Ann are certainly in my prayers.
Pneumonia often carries people off, especially when they are in a weakened state. It is good to know she is on the mend. But I do pray that she recovers fully from the stroke.
Spend all the time you can with her. But don’t let it tire you out. She needs you to be yourself, not an exhausted wreck.
Best regards,
Mike

Stay strong, Alex. Bob and I are hoping for the best for you and Ann. Be sure to accept any and all local offers of assistance, as others have said you need to take care of yourself too.
