So, she's not actually SEEN you wear the kilt? Just rolled her eyes at it as it hung on a hanger?
Kinda premature in creating this thread what? Let us know how she reacts while you wear it! We're rowing for you!

We've started a support group " My Significant Other Hates Kilts". Check it out, this is a place where we can lament the lack of admiration that we receive at home.

I bet this guy rarely gets made fun of for wearing a kilt. (also, is it normal to toss the caber on an incline? Or is it just a bad angle?)

Fortunately, my wife likes the kilt, especially when I'm all duded up...tie, vest, jacket.
Give your wife time to come around.

and there's an idea. Dennis's wife dudes up pretty well too (there've been pictures posted), and maybe that's the key. Get the spouse involved; get her a bit of tartan to dress up in - what woman could resist something nice like that! My spouse did that and likes it when we both dress up a bit.

I feel that a John Wayne film session is in order. McLintock. The Quiet Man. Donovan's Reef. Each of these has similar qualities: A Gentle Man is pushed to a point where he will not tolerate being pushed any more. Cheers!
I've found that most relationships work best when no one wears pants.

I think sometimes wives can basically get jealous of the attention their man gets when he's kilted up, it's the peacock effect. My wife Shelley had a woman tell her something like that at a kilt get-together once, and gave her similar advice; she just told the woman "up your game, cleavage always works"

My wife thougt it was a goofy idea..but she made me one in redneck hunting...now she is blown away at my finally having learned how to sew..I will finish my fourth this evening, a box pleated Navy digital camo...and probably start one in mavy blue bottomweight cotton...have about gained confidence to work in some high dollar tartan.

My wife especially loves to see me kilted, but when I was showing my SIL a swatch of Scotland the Brave tartan my SIL said, "I like that tartan better than the one you have on". I was wearing windowpane tweed.
