Nah, I prefer to go bearded like this - http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/m...ealaxing-laws/
That's what I meant by not as wildly.

Classy vestments my friend.

Looks excellent. I found myself scratching my head about your pastor begging you not to wear a kilt to church, but I suspect we've discussed that one already. The jacket has an elegance to it, though I have to agree with your wife that the suggestion of a military look is something I've struggled with. I'm thinking along the lines of a softer looking period coatie--something light enough to dance in, yet not too dressy. But it looks great, don't worry about it!
@Mike: I too was referred to as 'Rasputin' in my younger days! I look rather less severe nowadays!!!!
EPITAPH: Decades from now, no one will know what my bank balance looked like, it won't matter to anyone what kind of car I drove, nor will anyone care what sort of house I lived in. But the world will be a different place, because I did something so mind bafflingly eccentric that my ruins have become a tourist attraction.

Mighty nice look you have going there. Love the beard, of course I am prejudice.

That IS brushed out. Only three more days to go until I can stop looking "homeless" as my wife says. I'm going to fluff it out instead of brushing it for the contest. It sticks out about four inches from my face when I do that!

Yes, I'll second this! Peter, of Reid Kilts, has been doing a wonderful job. As the rabble might recall from my earlier thread, Peter had a Robertson done up for me, and it's superb. As always, Peter does a great job with customer relations.
Hugh, you look awesome. Enjoy!!!
Here's my Reid kilt:

Don't shave off the beard! We may need to start a petition for this. How many more innocent beards have to die?!
Just give it some shaping and regular maintenance for the look you want, but stand strong against being forced to go bald-faced!
The jacket and waistcoat look good to me, but I rather tend to agree with others that the 'blackout' look is probably not the most advantageous way to adorn your Highland attire. Nevertheless, you do look smashing.

Oh no, not bald faced. I will still be bearded. Just more like this...

A little less "Rasupinty" or "homeless" as my lovely wife says.
