We have a almost constant wet season, some times its like living in a tropical rain forrest as Billy Connolly says if you do not like the Scottish weather then wait 5 minutes!
Yesterday I was along Loch Lomondside and then moved on to Loch Long, the weather was brilliant with clear blue skies, I have some photos that I will post later, today the weather is wet wet and wet, you feel like getting a giant tin opener and peeling away the grey sky

You should've picked me up a bottle of Blair Athol as long as you were in Pitlochry! But seriously, great pics. I'm surprised there's a pipeband from Waterford.

I don't know much about them but theer must have been a tremendous boost for pipe bands in the Republic after St. Peter O' Toole from Dublin winning the 2010 Worlds

In 1996 I was in Pitlochry. The only man in a kilt I saw was in the whisky destillery.
Scotsmen should wear their kilts more often, I think.

I have often said on this forum, that with the introduction of the cheaper kilts, more people are now owners of kilts, many of my friends who previously were never kilted have sought the advantage of this more economical buy, but only ever wear their kilts at Burns Nights or the occassional social event
