Lovely photos, Ern. When I was a young child our address was listed as Alexandria, but I remember it as very rural with lovely houses from the late 1700s and early 1800s and large pastures with horses grazing. I'd love to go back some day!
I was lucky enough to make it down there again this year. Had a bit of a crowd with me. My wife, our 2 daughters and 6 of our 11 grandkids came along. I played Christmas tunes on the pipes as I walked with our Clan Society, and then following the parade (and lunch with the family) I spent a couple of hours "sitting in" with the Salvation Army bellringers at a couple of different locations in Old Town. A piping Santa seems to increase the donation rate.
The pictures posted have been great. I'm going to put up a few more, a bit more vanity based, as they're my grandkids and I.:
Santa recruiting for Toy Shop Security
Grandsons #5 & #6 bearing the Clan Banner
Granddaughters #1 & #2 have relieved the boys on the banner
Myself with the 6 grandkids in my "entourage"
With my "kiltie boys"
All skill and effort is to no avail when an angel pees down your drones.
