Just got back from the Games
This was my first time at a Highland Game in Utah

Lost my sun glasses to the Wind God

I walked around for about 4 hrs. wearing my X-marks T-shirt and didn't get any comments from anyone
so must not have been too X-markers there

good music

I think that it would be easier to find each other if there was a Beer Garden
This is the only highland games I've ever been to that doesn't have one

We were there for most of the day, but didn't stay for the concert tonight because of the wind. We did get to see Molly's Revenge and Wicked Tinkers earlier in the day; both played good sets. David Brewer of Molly's Revenge (aka the hyper piper) also did a show with fiddler Rebecca Lomnicky.

Me and the boys at the Friday night tattoo: my kilt is McDonald of Clanranald ancient, the son next to me is wearing Stewart black (we also have Stewart ancestry and it's readily available off-the-rack), middle son has Black Watch.

I had an awesom time I saw several x-markers. It was really fun to wear my Santa outfit. This is the first time I have done this for a Scottish festival. I am sure I was photographed over a hunderd times. As soon as Photo bucket is fixed (Not working right now) I will post some more pictures.

Just got back. Talk about a windy day. Saw Santa a few times. Was late getting there. Found out my Littlest one wanted to try and turn my sporran into a paper doll. So ended up wearing my UTKILT. Now its time to get rid of all the dust in my hair.

As usual I had to beat off the ladies with a stick just to give the kids a chance to visit with Santa.

Aye, I was there with the family. My middle son, Cody, was wearing the Hamilton Gray kilt. I was going to wear a Hunting Stewart but didn't have time to change from my Black UK.
Yes, I did met Matty Ross, though, briefly.
Should of got a picture with Matty but all the kids wanted to talk to Santa.
We made it to the Massing of the Bands. Ben Lomond High School's pipe band was here as were a number of bands from the Western US.
We stayed and enjoyed the music until my wife was beaten by the wind. Would of liked to watched the Highland games some more.
Next time, hope to meet up with other X-mark folks and chat. Perhaps, we could use the Clad Ross tent as a meeting place, say shortly after the Massing of the Bands.
Maybe the Payson Festival or Cache Valley Highland Games.

Saw Matty Ross and said howdy and took a photo but since he posted several won't bother, but didn't see any others. Not designating a meeting place was probably the slip in meeting folks. The wind was terrible in the afternoon, it was so bad that all the tents were told to come down except the tents that were large and with ropes and big metal tie downs. A real drag since I've never seen so many folks attend this festival before.

No games at Cache Valley at end of August due to few locals helping out.
