Information So Far

Although it states on their site:

Admission Programmes:

£3.00 in advance by credit card online - available nearer the date.
£6.00 at the gate.
Children under 16 are FREE when accompanied by an adult.
Programmes will be available from late June 2012 from local shops and other outlets in Harpenden, St. Albans and Luton area.

David Cowans (the Organising Lion (wouldn't you love to have a title like that?)) assures me that on-line ticket sales should be available from end of May onwards.

As per previous years I will have the bright red mini marquee with the two 20 foot flagpoles out the front. Flying two Saltires.

If any XMarkers wants a base to leave extra clothing, umbrellas, chairs, picnic baskets or any other day out stuff, please feel free.

Last year there was a mis-understanding as to a general meet-up time for a group photograph. If I say 2 o'clock now (or 14:00 for the military minded), it can be changed on the day.

We'll be in a mix of tartans - MacLeod of Harris Ancient for me, Royal Stewart for Imi, and the boys will be in Pride of Scotland.

The boys are REALLY looking forward to it and it'll a nice prelude to going back home in August.

I am writing to acknowledge receipt of your booking form for the Harpenden Lions Highland Gathering on 15 July. I confirm that I have reserved Qty 1 x 3m frontage bare pitch for X Marks the Scot in Scots Corner. Your booking reference is SCT04. As agreed, your pitch is provided free of charge but will not include exhibitor passes - those manning the stall will purchase programmes to gain entry to the event.

So we are in Scots Corner at position 04. As you come through the turnstiles, it is on the right.

Harpenden is going to be quite an XMarks magnet this summer! I'm going to be there with minimum one daughter, possibly two or three, plus some friends from London and surrounding area. Plus dog. Can anybody recommend a good campsite nearby?
